How does the Clinical Psychology service work?

Providing some information about your current difficulties will help to determine if it will be helpful to book in for an assessment.

Psychological Assessment
This will take up to 90 minutes and will take place online via Zoom. We will discuss your current difficulties, personal history and any previous therapy you have had. We will also explore your ideas about what you would like to achieve from therapy.

Online Therapy Sessions
All ongoing therapy sessions are completed over Zoom, usually weekly for 50 minutes. The number of sessions will depend on your individual needs and goals as discussed in the assessment. Occasionally longer or more frequent sessions can be offered, subject to individual need and clinic availability.

What types of therapy are offered?
I work in an integrative way combining therapeutic approaches to meet the specific client and their therapy goals. Some of the key therapy approaches I use are:
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)
Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR)
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT)
